Jerry DeLuca is an intellectual property attorney with over fifteen years of experience specializing in patent, trademark, and copyright law. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in civil engineering at Duke University, he worked as a Patent Examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, VA, before returning to Duke to pursue his JD.
After law school, Jerry joined Dickstein Shapiro LLP’s office in Washington, DC, specializing in patent litigation and prosecution. After spending several years at Dickstein, he joined Walker Digital as Patent Counsel, where he was responsible for expanding, licensing, and enforcing an extensive gaming patent portfolio.
Jerry is currently a senior associate at Sage Patent Group in Raleigh, NC, with a focus on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, prosecution, and licensing. As the husband of a professional photographer, he also spends quite a bit of time fielding the many photography-specific copyright questions his wife puts to him.
