In only three years she went from purchasing her very first DSLR to running a very successful full-time photography studio in Pink Hill, NC - a town with one stop light and a population of just over 500 people. Since she lives in such a small town, she has had to find ways to make her business successful and set herself apart. This class will be an introduction to light painting techniques and how they can be applied along with your current photographic skills to add a unique dimension into your lighting that cannot be captured by using regular flash photography. We will explore two facets of light painting: creative artistic light painting skills and light painting skills to be used in commercial photography.
Basic light painting skills and the creation of simple equipment needed to paint with light will also be presented.
There may be time for hands-on use of the skills during the session, so you may want to bring a camera, tripod, and a shutter release if you want to experiment with some new skills. Please wear dark clothing so that you do not show up in the final created images.
Let’s go play in the dark and expand your photographic horizons!!
